Everything you want from a pub! Delicious food, speedy and smiley service, lovely drinks and awesome atmosphere! Very rarely do pubs nowadays have all their ducks in order - The Bulls Head certainly does!

This is the best pub I've ever been to in terms of service and attitude. This clearly stems from excellent management and retaining experienced people. In my opinion, Chris could probably do a better job of running the country than the succession of clowns we've endured over the last 40+ years. It's a lovely old building, which has been tastefully extended to include a large restaurant and a conservatory area, which leads to ample heated outdoor seating. There's also plenty of parking space and leather winged chairs by a real fire...so what's not to like? I'd say that the Raffles Bar in Singapore and the Bubbalicious Brunch in The Westin by Dubai Marina are also worth a visit...but as far as Hertfordshire is concerned, I can't recommend better.

Lovely restaurant very spacious staff very friendly 3 of us had the large Yorkshire pudding with sausage and mash well worth it dog friendly in the bar area will visit again

We all had sausage and mash with vegetables and plenty of gravy in a giant Yorkshire pudding, omg it was massive and we still had room for pudding 😋😋

Can't book a table on a Sunday for a group. We were coming to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Going to the Goffs Oak instead who are much more accommodating. Clearly don't want the money
In reply, I called today and I was told that group booking aren't taken Sunday after oons. Your website confirms the same for future dates. So it's not about being busy it's the fact that apparently management don't allow bookings. I just got told that my 11:45 booking would be cancelled.

Recently visited with a group of old colleagues and friends. Food excellent, service outstanding and atmosphere great. Place was packed. Thank you Chris for a great evening and for taking the pictures 😂😂
